The clarity comes down to refractive index. The sodium-based mineral in this range bends light almost the way PE and PP do, so light passes through the filled part much as it did before. Calcium carbonate does not, which is why calcium-filled film goes cloudy. Dosing is unchanged: pellets go in at the hopper like a colour or additive, and at the right loading sealing, printing and lamination are unaffected downstream.
The talc grade sits alongside it for the other job. Where the part has to be stiff rather than clear, it raises rigidity and output in blown film and flexible packaging, with dispersion and processing holding steady.
