Calcium Filler Masterbatch
Cuts material cost in PP and PE products without compromising quality.
Calcium Filler Masterbatch cuts material cost without changing the line. A share of the virgin polymer in your compound is replaced with a mineral filler, calcium carbonate, that is carried in pellets matched to your resin. The masterbatch is dosed at the hopper just like a colour or additive, so no equipment changes are needed.
It comes in two grades, each formulated with high-purity calcium carbonate and performance additives for clean dispersion in its host resin. The PP grade is matched to polypropylene lines for woven sacks, moulded goods and profiles; the PE grade is built on an LLDPE carrier for blown film and packaging applications such as shopping and garbage bags. Recommended loading varies by application and is shared per grade. Low moisture content supports stable extrusion, consistent quality and higher output on both.

2 grades
Two grades, one for each carrier resin.
Tell us your host resin and the application, we will confirm the right grade and a starting loading on a trial run.

Calcium Filler Masterbatch [PP]
PP carrier with a high calcium carbonate content, engineered for polypropylene extrusion and injection moulding. Suited to raffia and woven sacks, thermoformed sheet and moulded housewares, where it lowers material cost while adding stiffness and improving surface finish.

Calcium Filler Masterbatch [PE]
LLDPE carrier with a high calcium carbonate content. Formulated for blown film extrusion, suitable for shopping bags, garbage bags and packaging films. Both grades share the same white pellet appearance; the difference is the carrier resin, not the look.

Frequently asked questions
What is Calcium Filler Masterbatch used for?
It adds mineral filler to plastic to cut cost and add stiffness while keeping good processing. Typical uses include woven sacks, carry bags, sheet, pipe and moulded parts.
Which polymers does it work with?
Standard grades are compatible with polyethylene and polypropylene. We match the carrier resin to your base resin so the masterbatch melts and disperses cleanly during processing.
Can I get a trial sample?
Yes. Share your base resin, end application and your loading and end use, and we will ship a matched grade for line evaluation along with a Certificate of Analysis.
How much can be added?
The right loading is matched to your product and process, balancing cost saving against the properties you need. We advise a suitable level at the enquiry stage.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard grades ship in 7 to 14 working days from order confirmation. Custom formulations matched to a specific application take 3 to 4 weeks. We confirm an exact timeline at the quote stage.
